Role Profile
Our client, who is a leading business within their field, are looking to recruit a General Manager for their operation based in the West Midlands. Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be accountable for a busy operation; managing the P&L, H&S and implementing a new WMS. The business is experiencing an exciting period of change and needs a strong leader with excellent people management skills. The role is Mon- Fri with flexibility required in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management and leadership to the site, overall headcount of 80+ staff
  • Oversee transport function including both in-house fleet and carrier management; ensuring SLA's and quality are being adhered to
  • Accountable for site H&S policies
  • Implementing new WMS into operation
  • P&L and budgetary responsibility
  • Reporting site results to senior leadership team
  • Significant focus on cost control including reporting and forecasting
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders both internal and external

Key Skills

  • Must have experience of managing busy, complex operations in excess of 130k sq ft
  • Strong leadership skills with focus on colleague engagement, empowerment and overall development
  • Commercially astute with experience managing significant budgets and P&L's
  • Proven track record of managing operational change and delivering operational efficiency and service level agreements
  • Experience of working within multi-drop environments would be beneficial

Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a Regional Account Manager for their Public Sector team covering the Midlands & South region. This is a purely new business role in a sector that has huge potential for Bunzl hence they are now looking to recruit a highly driven candidate with the ability to foster new relationships across the region. The role will be field based and include travel across the network to customers. The Regional Sales Manager will offer an unrivalled consultative approach to working with customers with a view to gaining trust and long-term business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing new business plans for new customer portfolios across the public sector
  • Negotiating terms, ensuring all agreements are correctly contracted
  • Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of growth opportunities in order to meet defined growth expectations
  • Manage relationships within your customer portfolio, providing best in class customer service
  • Visit customer sites / outlets as required
  • Add significant value to customer offerings based on business USP's

Candidates are sought who had ideally had some previous exposure to field sales, preferably in the public sector. Experience across the hospitality sector would also be highly desirable. Bunzl will however be interested in confident, outgoing and ambitious candidates who have the ability to pick up this role. The ability to self manage your time is critical as is the ability to always put the needs of the customer first. Being able to add value to customers is essential, and you must be able to demonstrate how you have added value across multiple customers; both existing and new business. Basic Microsoft Office skills are required, in particular Excel. A tenacious, determined and customer focused outlook is what will serve candidates well in this process.

This is a field-based role that will involve travel throughout the Midlands and South, therefore you must be a self starter with the ability to effectively and efficiently plan your own diary.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit an IT Support Assistant for their head office in Epsom.

IT Support Assistant will report into the Business Support Manager. This key position for their head office requires and dynamic individual who has a strong knowledge of IT systems & Microsoft packages. This is a Monday to Friday role operating normal office hours

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide 1st line support to end users and liaise with other support teams across the Bunzl businesses to help ensure BCS can operate effectively and efficiently
  • Provide Technical 1st Line Desktop, Telecoms and Sage Support
  • Purchasing of appropriate software licenses
  • Visiting additional Bunzl Lockhart sites as required
  • Prioritise support cases to deal with business-critical issues
  • Arrange distribution of equipment to other sites

 

Skills & Experience

This role would suit an individual who is IT literate with several systems and who has strong communication skills, both face to face and over the phone. You will be commutable to Epsom but have flexibility to travel to separate sites in the Bunzl network, therefore a driving license will be required to be considered for the role.

A Stock Controller role has arisen for Bunzl Catering in Cumbernauld. Reporting into the Stock Manager, this key position will focus on forecasting and the ordering of stock. It is a role that requires great systems knowledge and a willing learner.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Process pick, sort and stock adjustment sheets.
* Generate reports for warehouse manager and finance function as required
* Manage and monitor stock transfers, making adjustments as required
* Deal with and e-mail/fax requests i.e.: quarantine issues, product re-calls, returns to suppliers, invoice queries.
* Deal with any goods in queries regarding stock, including liaison with suppliers.
* Deal with stock checks from customer services.
* Ensure continuous checking of pallet locations are carried out.
* Action discrepancies for all picks, record any stock adjustments.
* Raise urgent requests for stock transfer both inbound and outbound
* Help to manage old and obsolete stock out of the business through liaison with customer service and sales functions.
